Detailed information about X Northern Captain package
XNC package consists from the following programs:
- X Northern Captain (xnc) - file manager itself,
the main application.
- 'ives' - viewing and editing system. IVES is
a simple viewer and editor in one application, that is well integrated
with xnc. It allows you to view files in different formats, as
text, as image or in hexadecimal notation. Editor has very simple
interface and is easy for using with small files and for quick
editing.
- 'xncsetup' - setup program for changing your
xnc configuration. You can change colors, fonts and even skins
for your xnc. Also if you prefer your own hot keys, you xncsetup
helps you to define them.
- iview, iedit - command line interface programs
for using 'ives' alone without 'xnc'. Use 'ivew' for opening file
for viewing through the 'ives', 'iedit' for editing it.
